Introduction
The WNB9W MyNetGateway delivers an ADSL2+ all-in one Integrated Access Device. Featureing an Adsl 2+ Modem, VoIP Gateway and 54Mbps Wireless Router. Now home, home office and small business users can eliminate the clutter of multiple Internet/networking devices and consolidate it in one unit.
The WNB9W is part of NetComm's PerformaPlus series designed to deliver robust performance to handle multiple processor-intensive Internet applications simultaneously including: VoIP, Video on Demand, High Definition Multimedia Streaming, Web-serving/hosting, On-line gaming etc.
The WNB9W combines a modem with VoIP capabilities, allowing you to use a regular phone to make calls over the internet and to take advantage of the new low cost calling options available with VoIP. The WNB9W is designed to prioritise VoIP traffic over data to ensure that you can experience a good quality call. The WNB9W also supports call waiting, call hold and call transfer (VOIP provider dependent).
The WNB9W also features a range of advanced applications such as
- Parental control, this allows you to list any websites that you want blocked from use. These are added to a list in the modem and will be blocked before they are displayed on the computer
Wireless LAN set up
The WLAN button the back of the unit can be used to immediately set up MAC address filtering security. Simply press the button for 5 seconds and the unit will get the MAC address of surrounding PC's and equipment and put them into the modem. The modem will then only allow those computers to connect to the internet via the modem.
